Yellow Alphabet

This alphabet was designed in 2010. I did want to design a timeless alphabet although I guess it's a difficult thing to do since everything we create will be part of an era therefore have a date attributed to it. I used the modernist period as a starting point, It was the birth of many great new ideas, designs and artwork that we continually draw from. It belongs to my elements collection part ll, I was inspired by the idea that letters are the building blocks of language and communication in the same way that the elements are the building blocks of nature. A letter not only signifies a name, but that the design and font make separate statements of their own.
